Information Security Engineer

About the role

Ensuring the information security of the corporate IT infrastructure of ABRIS Distribution Kazakhstan: protecting systems and networks, monitoring events, and handling vulnerabilities and incidents together with the IT team.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the information security of the corporate IT infrastructure.
• Windows/Linux security: hardening, security configuration and control of protective settings.
• Working with network infrastructure and security tools: firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS.
• Monitoring information security events and responding to incidents.
• Working with SIEM and EDR/XDR solutions.
• Identifying, technically verifying and prioritising vulnerabilities and tracking their remediation together with IT.
• Taking part in hardening: strengthening the security of systems and servers.
• Technical implementation and control of MFA, Least Privilege and other security controls.
• Taking part in investigating and resolving information security incidents.
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Automating routine tasks with scripts and API integrations.
• Working with the IT team, internal departments and external solution providers.

Education
